Philosophy & Vision
The development of the personality can be conceived of as a creative act. And I believe therapy offers an opportunity to help this process along. This often involves becoming conscious of aspects of ourselves that remain undeveloped or unintegrated, which leads to greater insight, self-understanding, emotional healing and personal growth.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, emotional distress, trauma, and longstanding patterns that leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves and others.
Working from a psychodynamic perspective, I provide a reflective and collaborative space to explore unconscious patterns, relational experiences, and emotional conflicts that shape present difficulties, while integrating practical strategies to support meaningful change.
Background
Before becoming a psychologist, I spent several years travelling through different regions of the world. Exposure to diverse cultures and ways of life broadened my understanding of human experience and fostered an enduring interest in the psychological, cultural, and historical influences that shape personality and identity.
These experiences provided an important foundation for my later work as a psychologist and for my longstanding interest in personal development and psychological growth.
I have worked across a range of clinical settings and bring extensive experience working with forensic populations.
