Philosophy & Vision

I counsel from a belief that life is inherently challenging; anxiety, uncertainty, and mistakes are defining features of existence. Yet, within that, how we choose to respond to our challenges defines who we are and what we become.

As well as general counselling for life's many challenges, I have particular energy for affective issues, such as anxiety, loneliness, shame, or low self-esteem. I also work with life conflicts and tensions, including value conflicts, relationships, and work tensions and existential issues, such as questions of meaning, and coping mechanisms.

My counselling approach is influenced, but not determined, by my own interest in Carl Jung's concept of individuation (our innate desire for wholeness, versus rightness), Victor Frankl's theory of meaning-making via self-transcendence, and Stoic and Buddhist principles around intentionality and discernment.

Services

  • Counselling, Online Video Consultations
  • I often work with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, overthinking, value conflicts, and questions of meaning or direction. This also includes experiences of loneliness, shame, and ongoing relationship tension. We use Socratic dialogue, reflection, and practical reframing to explore your situation and your self and engage with clarity, purpose, meaning.

Connection, deep listening, and rapport come naturally to me. My aim is for you to leave sessions with more clarity, perspective, and a sense of direction. If this resonates, you’re welcome to reach out (email preferred). Please note: I currently work only with individual adults.
