Philosophy & Vision

Hello, my name is Kelvin. My passion is helping people make sense of their experiences, develop a deeper understanding of themselves and find a way forward that feels meaningful to them.

After more than 15 years in the mining and construction industries, I made the decision to follow a different direction, one that allowed me to work more closely with people and contribute to their wellbeing. My previous experience has shaped a practical, down to earth approach to counselling, grounded in real world understanding and human connection.

With a Master of Counselling, a Bachelor of Psychology and Advanced Certification in Hypnotherapy, I draw on evidence informed therapeutic approaches alongside a holistic and compassionate philosophy. I offer face to face and online sessions.

Background

Before pursuing my studies, I worked as a tradesman in the mining and construction industries. While working in the mines, I realised I wanted to support others in a counselling role. Coupled with over ten years of experience in mediation, I now believe this background shapes my approach to therapy. I am also inspired by various authors, including Florence Scovel Shinn, Eckhart Tolle, Michael Singer, and Rudolf Steiner, whose teachings further guide my practice.
