Philosophy & Vision

You don't have to figure things out on your own. I'm Lisa, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Founder of More Good Days Therapy and Counselling. My practice is grounded in culturally inclusive and trauma-informed care, providing a safe and supportive space where you can feel understood, respected and accepted as you are.

Born in Australia to Chinese-Vietnamese immigrant parents, I am passionate about supporting people from culturally diverse backgrounds, including migrants, refugees and first/second-generation Australians. I specialise in cultural identity and belonging, intergenerational trauma, problem gambling and gambling-related harm, childhood wounds, complex trauma, social anxiety and depression.

I take a warm, person-centred and integrative approach to therapy, tailoring support to your unique experiences and goals. My aim is to help you better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges, and move towards more

Background

Before establishing More Good Days Therapy and Counselling, I worked in charity, community and not-for-profit settings supporting individuals facing a range of personal and mental health challenges. Since 2019, I have worked with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including migrants, refugees, and first/second-generation Australians. These experiences deepened my understanding of the impact of culture, family, identity, and life experiences on wellbeing. Today, I bring this experience into private practice, providing culturally inclusive and trauma-informed counselling that is tailored to each person's unique needs, strengths and goals.
