Philosophy & Vision
I’m a relationship-focused therapist supporting individuals and couples to navigate complicated relationships and reconnect with themselves and others. Many of my clients feel stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected, often facing betrayal, separation, parenting stress or life transitions. I offer a warm, down-to-earth space to explore what’s happened, what’s shaped you, and what might now be possible.
My style is honest, compassionate and practical. I am trained in Terry Real's Relational Life Therapy, Gottman & EFT, alongside a strong psychodynamic lens for deeper, long-term work. Clients often tell me they feel seen, supported and challenged in helpful ways. If you’re ready to shift painful patterns and build stronger relationships with yourself or those around you, reach out so we can work together.
Background
Before starting my private practice, I worked as a counsellor at a group psychology clinic and as a referral support worker in adult education, providing practical and emotional support to newly arrived communities. I’ve also produced digital storytelling projects in aged-care, helping older adults reflect on their lives. These roles deepened my interest in relationships, transitions and identity across the lifespan. Since launching my own practice, I’ve focused on working with adults and couples, especially those navigating life shifts, disconnection, betrayal, or a loss of purpose. I bring warmth, life experience and evidence-based training to this work, and value long-term therapeutic relationships that allow for real, sustained change.

Therapy Approach
My approach is down-to-earth, relational and collaborative. I don’t focus on what’s “wrong” with you — I’m more interested in what’s happened, how it’s shaped you, and what’s possible from here. I integrate evidence-based methods including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy (RLT), alongside psychodynamic thinking for clients wanting to go deeper. I work actively in sessions, offering reflection, gentle challenge and insight. Whether you’re seeking practical tools, greater self-understanding or more fulfilling relationships, I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to be real, reflect honestly and try something new.

I was always a quiet child, curious and fascinated by people. I came to counselling after working as a writer on an aged care project many years ago, where I was moved by how people responded when they felt genuinely heard and understood. I learned that, in later life, people often reflected most deeply on the quality of their relationships.
I remain curious about what helps us stay connected to ourselves and to one another. In my practice, it is a privilege to work with individuals and couples as they move towards more loving and fulfilling relationships. I truly love my work, and it continues to feel deeply meaningful. -
I’m guided by the belief that healing happens in safe, honest relationships. I draw from approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy (Terry Real), which help people understand patterns and build stronger connections. I’m also influenced by ideas that look at how our past and the world around us shape how we relate to ourselves and others. These approaches help me support clients with warmth, clarity, and respect.

The importance of healthy, respectful relationships, both with yourself and others, are at the heart of wellbeing.

Primarily I am a Person-Centred therapist that blends relationship therapy models such as Terry Real - Relational Life Therapy RLT, The Gottman Method, and Emotion Focused Therapy Couples EFT-C. I have training in all of these modalities.

When working with me, you will always know what you're working on and the steps to get there. Many clients report seeing progress after a few months.

I love about 90% of being a therapist: every client facing moment you will find me in my element - the other 10% is the "admin" side like invoicing and marketing... lets just say its not my favourite part!

Occasionally... though let's just say that nothing compares to the 80's shag perm inflicted on me the day of my school formal.

It has to be a song as music is definitely my healer. These songs are always on repeat when I need a lift: Groove Is in the Heart by Deee-Lite, Emotional Rescue by the Rolling Stones, and Dance Hall Days by Wang Chung. I guess you can tell my era!
