Hi, I am Valentina. I have always been interested in human nature and its psychology. Becoming a counsellor was, for me, a natural consequence of my life experience and of my professional journey. Prior to becoming a counsellor, I studied Philosophy and I worked for many years internationally in the field of Human Resources Management.

I like working with people with complex trauma and dissociation. I appreciate that some of your difficulties are trauma responses that helped you survive in the past, we just need to update to help you feel better now. Informed by Internal Family Systems, EMDR Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

I believe therapy isn't another task to get right or finish on time. It's a space to meet yourself where you are, stay a little longer and notice what emerges. As a Clinical Counsellor, Art Therapist and fellow human being, I work at your heart's pace. What might be possible if even the parts that feel unworthy or overwhelmed found care and space?

I have extensive experience with addictions, and specialise in working with the family members of people who use drugs, alcohol, gambling, or have complex mental health needs. I provide a safe, non-judgemental place for you to ask questions, explore the reasons why addiction has become a part of your life, and make choices for positive change.

I am passionate about helping you to resolve the impact of trauma on the mind-body. Early life experiences greatly influence how we experience life today. Therapy gradually helps unshackle us from the past, so we are free to respond rather than re-act to life events and loved ones.
