Philosophy & Vision
My philosophy - everything we need lies within us to heal, and we have simply forgotten, through conditioning, and other factors. Our emotions are often the signal pulling us inwards, showing up as anxiety, fear. They are not good/bad, right/wrong, simply messengers from our internal world.
I believe therapy provides an opportunity to invest in you in a real and intimate way, through developing a more conscious relationship with your internal world. Moving from being externally anchored, to knowing who you are beyond survival.
It is not a quick fix, as these are often habits of a lifetime and often it is pain that is the doorway out of them. For in truth, it is usually our suffering that creates the pressure leading us to say, I have had enough!
Background
I have had a varied work life, yet the majority of it has been working directly with people, through hospitality, the printing industry, promotional advertising, massage, even working at a ghost tour company for a short stint.
During my Masters studies I had the opportunity to work in a private rehab specialising in all addictions, where I learnt much about the imbalances of the heart and mind, and the painful way they manifest. I then began private practice, whilst also working part-time at a women's rehab. I am now fully in private practice, enjoying working with a diversity of people, individually and in groups.
Services
I am available for individual counselling and therapy, which also includes EMDr on occasion. I speak Greek, and enjoyed having the option to take a subject on spiritual counselling in my studies, which I bring into sessions when relevant.

Initially I believe I chose this field because I wanted to understand myself deeply, that psychology bend was there from a young age. Yet, it would be over 30years after starting my degree before I would complete my studies and become a therapist. This indirect, circuitous route served me well, allowing me to mature as a person, and grow roots in my own being, something I believe that makes me a better therapist that I would've been when I was younger.

Even though I have been influenced most by Carl Jung's philosophy, the majority, if not all of my reading has been reading female Jungian Analysts, like Marion Woodman. This has allowed a natural and organic understanding of the interconnectedness of the body, heart, mind and soul with all life, alongside my lived experience.

The movement towards wholeness and all that entails.
-
The methods I use are dependent on the client I am working with, most importantly, Listening. I encourage meditation, journal writing, and practical tools, all in service to facilitating a more conscious relationship between the different parts of self.

It allowed me to begin to get comfortable in my own space, realising at a point, though friendships are lovely, they can be limited. It allowed me to change the relationship I had with myself, to get to know who I was and gave me the knowledge of simple things not taught at school or society, to know what & how to begin to make changes I could not have imagined before.

I love seeing people becoming more anchored in themselves, able to experience more contentment, true freedom and agency.
-
Of course and I am very good at taking care of myself on those days.
-
I don't know.
These are conversations I find little value in, as we all have an ideas of what needs to be fixed to make the world a better place. I am tired of the soapbox.
I don't have the answers.
I am present to my life, to the person before me in the room.
I love and I live, in support of life.
I know peace is real. -
Lately I have been enjoying watching documentaries on different public figures, often seeing in their lives, the successes, and struggles that are common to the human experience, regardless.
